Clouds in my coffee, clouds in my coffee…No, this is isn’t a tribute to the greatest dis track of 1972 (I’m looking at you Warren Beatty 👀), but I bet you’ll think this post is for you! Do you know what the big deal is about Clouds? I didn’t completely understand it’s benefits until recently and thought you might be interested as well. Cloud Based Access Control Systems can help you manage your security and reduce costs. But first, a quick refresher of what exactly “Access Control” or “Key Card Systems” mean and what it can do for you. Access Control is managing entry or access to locations and openings for individuals who are authorized to be there. Basically, it will allow people you approve the ability to enter certain areas of the building and keep them out of areas where they don’t need to be. Sometimes you don’t want just anyone to have access to spaces like server rooms, specific floors, conference rooms, or manager’s offices. Even certain amenities like gyms and pools can benefit from access control. But how does the Cloud benefit Access Control? Well, I’m glad you asked. Here’s 3 Benefits of Cloud Based Access Control! Save Time & Money! Everyone’s heard the saying Time = Money. Here’s how to save both! A Cloud Based system uses a web browser (like Safari, Chrome, or FireFox) or your Mobile Phone , so you won’t need a special PC, server, or software that will need constant upgrades to manage your business security. That means less maintenance, no software licenses, no software updates or patches, and no compatibility issues! Unlike keys, you can quickly issue or revoke credentials in a flash! You can also easily share employee records to give access to multiple sites so there’s no wasting time entering duplicate employees and credentials. Setting up an Integration is simple, can help you manage your team, and add, delete, or suspend automatically instead of having to manually enter data. Need to add new doors? What about a new facility? How about several hundred new users? No need to worry. There are no limitations on the system and it’s so easy to update! Empower Your Team! Have Multiple Locations? Have Employees that work at several Locations? With a few simple clicks, Cloud Based Security can help your team move seamlessly from one location to another with the right credentials! No more waiting hours to gain access to the right building and wasting time. Your Team can get to work quickly without the hassle of waiting to get in the building. You can easily issue mobile credentials to your team, vendors, other short term users, or Tom from Accounting that always forgets his access badge 😐. Everyone has a Tom at the office. This one’s for Tom. You’re In Control! One of the best feelings is Peace of Mind and with a Cloud based Access System you will have that. There’s no waking in the middle of the night in a panic. No need to worry about who has accessed certain areas because you control the facilities. Whether it’s from your mobile phone at the beach, 30,000 feet in the air on a flight, or on your laptop at a coffee shop, all you need is internet access to see what is going on! Need to know who’s been where? We’ve got that covered. Easily see the audit trail for any room and time. Or, set up automatic reports with a few clicks! Always know what’s going on in the facility with custom text or email notifications. These can be set up to alert you immediately when an important access event happens! So that’s all Folks. Cloud Based Access can Improve your Security! #accesscontrolsystems #commercialsecurity #CommercialAccessControl #Commercialvideosurveillance #CommercialLocksmith #OfficeLocksmith #officesecurity #accesscontrol

- Benefits of Commercial Video Surveillance for Retail Businesses
There are many industries that can benefit from commercial video surveillance, but the one that comes to mind most often is retail applications. That makes sense when you consider that there is a great deal of activity surrounding a retail store. As a business owner, you can’t keep your eyes on everything that goes on, especially if you have a larger store or have extended business hours. While you might think to utilize commercial video surveillance to reduce shoplifting, there are other benefits you can experience that warrant the cost of such a system. There are several things that can happen on the sales floor regarding your customers that you would want to know about. Besides having proof of a theft situation, you will also be able to know the validity of a customer’s claim regarding interaction with your sales staff or if harm has come to them. Commercial video surveillance is helpful with what would have been a one person’s word against another situation. Speaking of monitoring, you will also be able to monitor the productivity of your employees and be assured they are following safety protocols and other company policies. If a problem occurs between two employees, you will be able to determine what actually happened. Commercial video surveillance also deters employee theft which, can often surpass what is stolen by customers. There are plenty of other ways you can use a commercial video surveillance system, such as monitoring how people move around your store, so your marketing team can be more effective. Between increased sales and decreased losses, your new system could pay for itself in no time! If you would like a quote for a commercial video surveillance system at your store, give us a call at Loc-Doc, Inc. We look forward to hearing from you! #Commercialvideosurveillance

Common materials for commercial doors include some of the following: Hollow metal doors are the most common. They are long lasting and affordable. They can be customized in many styles and colors, and used for many different applications. Galvanized steel doors are frequently used for exterior doors because they resist rust formation. Aluminum doors are strong without being heavy. Glass doors are used for both exterior doors and interior doors, and can be a beautiful addition to your workplace. If you have any special considerations for your office door installation, make sure you discuss it before the installation begins. - Commercial Video Surveillance Protects Your Business Investments
guard against the possibility of employee thievery. There are different options available for your new commercial video surveillance system. The system that is right for you will depend on the budget you have available and the features that are important to you. You will have to consider how many cameras you need and what type of camera is right for your business. Cameras that are placed outdoors will need to be resistant to extreme temperatures and precipitation. If the cameras will be used at night, they may need to operate in low-light conditions or have infrared capability. You may also consider using small hidden cameras or dark housings that prevent the angle of the camera from being known. Another choice you will have to make about your cameras is whether you want them to be hard-wired or wireless. Wireless cameras are usually battery powered. These cameras have simple installations, but must be maintained periodically to prevent the batteries from dying. Wired cameras are more difficult to install, but once they are working, they require very little maintenance. A final and very important decision about your commercial video surveillance is whether you want a simple standalone digital video recorder setup or a more extensive computer-based system. DVR systems are less expensive, but do not allow remote monitoring. If you want to be able to access surveillance footage in real time, a computer-based system is the way to go. With these systems, you can even control the camera angles and zoom levels. #Commercialvideosurveillance

- What do these numbers mean?
Many times, the top of your key has numbers or letters stamped or engraved. What do those mean? There are typically 2 different types of “codes” stamped on a key. DIRECT CODE A “Direct Code” is the exact numbers related to the cuts or the depths of each valley in your key. This is typically used to identify a specific key and how the lock should be combinated to allow the key to operate. For the most part, this happens from the lock manufacturer. You’ll see this inside a box of door locks at a hardware store or inside a lockbox on your locksmith’s shelf. Loc-Doc Security does not distribute these keys. We cut a new key on a blank without those numbers. With those numbers alone, another key can be made without your knowledge or permission. BLIND CODE Blind codes are used for Master Key Systems and File Cabinet Locks. In most cases, a blind code is a reference point for a locksmith or manufacturer to identify the key and make additional copies or identify the locks that the key operates.
